The X-ray machine will rotate in a semicircle around your head, allowing us to get a complete picture of your entire mouth and jaw. The whole process is quick, easy and completely painless, taking about 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Do panoramic x-rays have a lot of radiation?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A panoramic X-ray uses more radiation than a set of bites, but still only about 0.01 mSv. Another interesting point of comparison to note is that you receive more cosmic rays if you live at a higher altitude, because the atmosphere is thinner there and does not filter it out as well<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is panoramic radiography?
