Description

The deciduous teeth over the years begin to wobble, fall out and are replaced by their permanent counterparts. A prerequisite for this whole process is the absorption of the root of each new tooth. However, there are cases in which the root of the deciduous teeth is not absorbed, so that the deciduous teeth remain in place while the permanent teeth make their appearance in the mouth of the young child. In such cases it is necessary to extract the deciduous tooth so that the permanent tooth can take its final place in the child’s mouth.
