IOANNA MARGONI was born in Athens. In 2012, she graduated from the School of Dentistry, University of Athens.

Training

After completing her studies, she pursued her first master’s degree at City Unity College in implantology and laser dentistry. At the same time, she worked for a year in a well-known dental clinic in Kolonaki, gaining experience in implants and in bone and tissue regeneration using blood growth factors after centrifugation. Her research, entitled “A Case-Study of Seven Dental Implants Placed in the Maxillary Sinus with Intentional Schneiderian Membrane Perforation,” was published in the scientific journal JIACD in 2014, vol.6, No.1.

During the period 2012-2017, she moved permanently to England, where she worked as a dental associate, gaining extensive clinical experience in the entire range of therapeutic, restorative, and aesthetic dentistry for adults and children.

In 2013, she obtained certification in modern methods of performing endodontic treatment.

In 2016, having completed a full-time postgraduate program, she received the title of Master of Science in Conservative Dentistry (MSc Conservative Dentistry) from the internationally renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, England. Her postgraduate program allowed her to deepen and specialize in implants and peri-implant restorations, prosthetic, and cosmetic dentistry. In her master’s thesis, she studied the laboratory growth of microbes in materials used for implant and mobile restorations, as well as methods for managing it. Her research was published in the scientific journal IJP in 2018.

After completing her postgraduate studies, she continued to work as an associate in specialized private polyclinics in central London, such as in Chelsea, Bayswater, and the City of London, as well as in the well-known BUPA chain of dental clinics. She focused particularly on the restorative rehabilitation of complex cases and the treatment of patients with “dental phobia.”

In 2016, she obtained certification in aesthetics of the anterior zone at a clinic on Harley Street, London.

She regularly attends both international and domestic conferences to ensure continuous professional development and to provide modern health services. She is a member of: – the Attica Dental Association – the British Dental Association (BDA) – the United Kingdom Dental Association (GDC) – the International Team of Implantology (ITI).
